Members Advice Referral Service
Assistance with Complaints to Legal Profession Complaints Committee
With the generous assistance of the Western Australian Bar Association (WABA) a Referral Service has been established to provide advice, and representation if required, for practitioners who are the subject of complaint to the Legal Profession Complaints Committee and the State Administrative Tribunal.
A Register of Silks and Senior Juniors who are prepared not to charge, or to charge a nominal or modest fee, for advice or representation, is maintained by the WABA.
A practitioner requiring assistance is to contact the WABA President Grant Donaldson, or the WABA Executive Officer Debbie Cole, direct, at Francis Burt Chambers on 9220 0444. The practitioner will then be directed to the appropriate counsel.
If members require information regarding the Referral Service from the Law Society, they should contact the Law Society on 9322 7877 or email info@lawsocietywa.asn.au
