This Seminar is also being delivered via webinar.
A new era for security of payment in WA – managing the payment process, review adjudications, issue estoppel in adjudications and unfair terms.
The new Building and Construction Industry (Security of Payment) Act 2021 will come into operation later this year. It is very different from the existing Construction Contracts Act 2004 and has the potential to substantially change the operation of construction contracts in this State. This seminar will deal with important new features of the legislation, including the payment process, review of adjudications, notice based time bars and estoppel and how they will affect practice in the construction law space.
