“Smart contracts” are self-executing agreements based on a set of rules known to the parties using predefined inputs. They are built in computer code and stored on a blockchain (distributed ledger technology) that can be used to verify, share and track anything of value.
In this seminar, we will discuss the legal enforceability of smart contracts, consideration and acceptance – and the challenges of enforcement including the interplay of equitable principles and remedies. We will also provide tips on drafting smart contracts.
