This seminar will explore the intersection of disclosure obligations to the Legal Practice Board with a Legal Profession Complaints Committee (LPCC) Investigation and/or disciplinary proceedings. It considers the impact of a failure to disclose, noting the Board’s guidelines on disclosure. If relevant to the conduct being investigated and if not disclosed, and under guidelines possibly should have been disclosed, then is there an obligation on the LPCC to disclose to the Board.

Our speakers will also discuss

  • Disclosure and mitigation
  • Responsive regulatory outcomes
  • LPCC’s Disciplinary Guidelines
  • The Committee’s Mental Health Protocol
  • Confidentiality and/or suppression
  • The Committee’s powers
  • Working with mentors
  • SAT process
