About the event

This Seminar is also being delivered via webinar.

Please note bookings will close one hour prior to the seminar start time.

This presentation includes a refresher on the ethical obligations applicable to lawyers practising in WA, including the core duties owed under the legislative framework (and at common law), as well as a deeper dive into ethical quandaries faced by in-house counsel in particular.

The presentation also explores the new or heightened challenges which lawyers may encounter in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, including practical challenges associated with remote working, and the complex interplay between a lawyer’s personal views and their ethical obligations, when it comes to matters such as anti-vaccination sentiment or resistance to public health orders.
