Pat is a Director of the Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice of Clifford Chance in Perth. She has over 30 years experience in complex commercial litigation, arbitration and mediations, with a particular focus in the oil and gas and maritime sectors. Pat frequently appears as counsel in the Supreme Court of Western Australia and in the Federal Court of Australia. Pat has a Doctorate of Juridical Science (SJD) in shipping law and a Master of Laws from the University of Western Australia. She is a board member of the College of Law Western Australia Chapter and is the Vice President of the Maritime Law Association of Australia & New Zealand (MLAANZ). She is also an active member of a number of Law Society Committees.

Elise Bant is Professor of Private Law and Commercial Regulation at The University of Western Australia, a Professorial Fellow at the University of Melbourne and a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Law. Her main areas of teaching and research interests lie in the fields of unjust enrichment and restitution law, contract, commercial and consumer law, civil remedies, property, equity and trusts. She is a general editor of the Journal of Equity.
