Recent analysis of Law Mutual (WA) claims showed that allegations of conflict of interest and breach of fiduciary duty claims are made in over 20% of claims against smaller practices. In particular, the percentage of conflict allegations in claims was disproportionately higher against practices of up to 9 practitioners. This seminar reviews conflict risks faced by smaller practices and provide control examples for mitigating and managing those risks.
