The anticipated implementation of the Legal Profession Uniform Law (LPUL) scheme means big changes are coming to the Profession in Western Australia. The Law Society is pleased to announce that our LPUL CPD Seminar Series is now available.
Following the Introductory Information Session, join us on Twilight Thursdays for focused sessions looking at some of the most impactful changes in more detail. All our sessions will be recorded and will be replayed on Mondays.
In addition, the Law Society has also developed a Legal Profession Uniform Law (LPUL) central hub to keep members informed.
This session will focus on complaints, disciplinary matters and consumer matters.

Barrister, Francis Burt Chambers
Carolyn primarily practises in the area of commercial litigation. She has significant experience in insurance law, having acted on a wide variety of professional indemnity claims and on other insurance litigation. Carolyn is a respected advocate and has appeared as trial counsel and appeal counsel in the District and Supreme Courts and as junior counsel on numerous civil and criminal trials. Before being elected to the Bar, she worked as a Senior Associate with Jackson McDonald and MDS Legal and as a State Prosecutor with the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions. She maintains a criminal law practice and has experience in regulatory work, having acted on Legal Profession Act 2008 disciplinary proceedings, ASIC investigations and Real Estate Institute of WA matters. Carolyn brings a practical and analytical approach to all matters. She is hard-working, tenacious and strives to achieve the best result for each client.
