Mindfulness can help lawyers deal with high levels of stress and there is no doubt that working in stressful environments can lead to claims and complaints (mistakes/oversights/time limits etc).  It can also help with learning to filter out distractions and improve focus to improve performance.  So much of legal work is about listening, but are we ever really taught how to do this? Mindfulness can help us improve our listening skills as well as lead to preparing for and having difficult conversations.

This session is for those new to mindfulness and those with an existing practice, to examine how a mindfulness-based approach can improve risk management.  We will blend live presentation with a PowerPoint, video and short, accessible mindfulness practices.  Plus presented in an interactive and engaging Zoom environment where you can connect with fellow attendees.

There will be plenty of suggestions about how to incorporate and integrate mindfulness into a busy work day, in the office (or home office).  It’s not necessary to take a week long silent retreat or commit to one hour of practice every day to gain benefit from mindfulness.  Micropractices, apps, mindful walking/coffee/eating, quiet space in the office, journaling … the list is long and accessible and it’s about finding something that works for you.

This is not just a Webinar where you can watch (or zone out) for 2 hours. Be ready to engage!
