Law Mutual (WA) Seminar: New practitioner risk 101

Friday 5th August, 2016 4:30 pm – Friday 5th August, 2016 5:30 pm
The Law Society of Western Australia
Level 5, 160 St Georges Terrace PERTH

Learn about the professional liability risk management principles that all young lawyers need to know and understand. Cameron Hay explores the risks arising in every day practice and introduces a new practitioner to the tools to identify and manage those risks.

This seminar explores in detail the Risk and Control Map prepared by MYR Consulting for the Risk Management Seminar Series 2015/2016. The Map is designed to provide practitioners with a straight forward tool to consider the risks to their practice and set out risk controls they should have in place to mitigate and manage those risks.

The seminar is interactive and allows attendees to identify risks they see as relevant and of primary control. Assistance can then be targeted to ensure practitioners are given appropriate controls to help manage those identified risks.

Law Mutual (WA) welcomes new practitioners to this seminar. Networking drinks follow the seminar on Friday, 5 August 2016.

Please note that if you attended the Law Mutual Risk Management seminar for 2015/16 you will not be able to accrue CPD points for this seminar.

This seminar is hosted by the Law Society on behalf of Law Mutual (WA).
