About the event
This seminar is available for in person or webinar attendance.
There are many new developments happening in property law at the moment, and it can be challenging to keep up to date. This seminar is designed to provide property law practitioners with recent updates on the law, including:
- The Personal Property Securities Act 2009 (CTH) (PPSA) has proven to be a complex piece of legislation that overhauls much of the prior and entrenched common law and equitable rules relating to personal property securities. The PPSA, however, is not a complete code and the general law continues to operate to the extent that it is capable of operating concurrently with the PPSA. In her presentation, Linda will this further and illustrate how the general law is intended to mesh with the PPSA.
- The new Joint Form of General Conditions for the Sale of Land in Western Australia was introduced about 12 months ago. Paul Donovan will provide insights and an overview of how this has impacted property lawyers in the last year.
