As the Migration Amendment (Regulation of Migration Agents) Bill 2019 has passed through both houses of parliament and been given Royal Assent, soon any lawyer in Australia will be able to practice immigration law and provide immigration assistance. They will not need registration as a migration agent.
During this session we will discuss the significant changes that arise from this Bill, and the skill set required for lawyers who now wish to practice immigration law.
