This session delivered by Dr Marilyn Bromberg, Director Higher Degrees, University of Western Australia Law School will discuss Social Media and the law. In particular, Dr Bromberg will discuss the non-consensual distribution of intimate images and the law, judicial officers using social media, judicial officers and lawyers being friends on social media and lawyers using social media. She will also discuss Charisteas v Charisteas [2021] HCA 29 (6 October 2021) and how it is relevant to social media use.
