Would you like to contribute to the future of law reform in Australia? Join Micheil Paton, Principal Legal Officer and Matt Corrigan, General Counsel from the Australian Law Reform Commission for a FREE seminar to discuss a range of future law reform inquiry topics suggested by the public, and contribute your ideas on the shortlisted topics.

This public seminar is one in a series of seminars that form part of the ALRC’s new project, which seeks public input in identifying areas of Australian law that may benefit from reform.  The project will culminate in a proposed three to five year programme of law reform projects that the ALRC will submit to the Commonwealth Attorney-General for consideration. More information can be found on the ALRC’s website.

This seminar will discuss the process employed by ALRC for the project, some of the wide range of law reform topics suggested by the public, and the shortlist of topics being considered by the ALRC. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions or comment on the shortlisted topics, and to offer ideas about how those topics might be further refined or developed.

Both members and non-members of the Law Society are welcome to attend.

After the seminar, join us for refreshments and the opportunity to mix with colleagues and members of the ALRC in a relaxed environment from 6.00pm to 6.30pm

Those unable to attend in person will be able to attend via webinar, and will have the opportunity to ask questions during the session.
