Comprehensive amendments to the Duties Act came into operation in June 2019.  Some changes are subtle, but some are not. In this two part seminar, experienced practitioners and officers from State Revenue will provide guidance on applying the new Act to a wide variety of circumstances encountered regularly by most practitioners and taxpayers.

  • preventing duty leakage through the landholder and connected entity regimes
  • introducing a fixed to land model
  • family farm exemption

  • the effect of a one word change to section 107
  • how wide is the reach of the amended section 67?
