Design and Communications Officer
Full TimeThe Law Society of Western Australia is the peak professional association representing the legal profession across the State and a position has become available for a talented graphic designer to fill an exciting role in our Corporate Services team. This is a highly rewarding but challenging role in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment. The role provides designing across a range of collateral including print publications, advertisements, brochures and flyers as well as various digital channels, newsletters and web banners.
Selection criteria
The successful candidate will have:
- A tertiary qualification in Graphic Design
- At least 2 years’ experience in a graphic design role
- Exceptional visual design skills (please submit a strong portfolio that demonstrates your excellent creative design skills)
- Demonstrated advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
- Strong understanding of print and digital design requirements
- Experience in video editing
- Well-developed interpersonal skills, demonstrated initiative, enthusiasm and confidence in dealing with a wide stakeholder base
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Work well in a team environment and also autonomously
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Experience with managing multiple deadlines and stakeholders
Desirable
- Experience in a similar role within a Not-for-Profit membership organisation
- Understanding of the legal sector
- Experience in video editing
- Proficiency in web development
