Administration and Risk Officer – Law Mutual (WA)

The Law Society of Western Australia, the peak body for the legal profession in Western Australia, is seeking a motivated professional to be part of the Law Mutual (WA) team. Law Mutual (WA) administers the compulsory professional indemnity scheme to legal practitioners.

The Role

The Administration and Risk Officer role is a fulltime role that reports directly to the Manager Risk. As the Administration and Risk Officer you will be required to provide a high standard of administrative support to the General Manager Law Mutual and Manager Risk.

To succeed in this role you will need to have at least five years experience in a similar role and possess:

  • Strong secretarial, agenda preparation and minute taking skills;
  • Ability to work in a team;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Accuracy;
  • Possess highly developed communication, written, verbal and facilitation skills;
  • Effective negotiation and conflict resolution skills;
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to problem solving;
  • Excellent telephone manner;
  • Good organisational skills and time management skills, with an ability to prioritise tasks and work well under pressure.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality;
  • Understanding of the risk management process.
